Proton mail, who claim they don't keep IPs, have handed the IPs of climate activists over to the French police. The activists had their homes searched and were arrested.
So the only way Protonmail is secure is if you use a VPN
So, I'm thinking of replacing NextCloud with something simpler, or more likely a couple of simpler systems. Also, my wife is not a fan.
I analyzed what my family and I were using it for and it turns out it's overkill. Basically, we have 3 main use cases:
* Storing family-wide shared, backed up archival files, but really only inside our home.
* Storing Calendar & Contacts, which can also be local.
* Texting, filesharing, and maybe video calls with relatives.
Any suggestions on alternatives?
re: landlords, gripe
You see, when *I* invest in something, and *my* investment doesn't play out, you know who comes to bail me out? You know who has my back? You know who's gonna help me recover the money?
The answer is no one because I made a *bet* and I *lost.* I suck it up, I dust myself off, and I move on.
This is how it should be for all landlords.
