Watch for politicians pushing "adoption" of children from undocumented refugees of political violence. It's going to be pushed. We might even give people money for it. I've heard people say they're willing to foster them. This is wrong. We can't fucking do it. Crossing the border illegally is a misdemeanor. Imagine having your children taken and put in a different home for driving without insurance.

If you mentally separate tin-pot dictatorships from the actions of wealthy established countries like the US, now might be the time for a categorical shift. This isn't even anything new - children are still taken from native families under questionable circumstances using the Indian Child Welfare Act, because there's a monetary incentive.

Your friendly reminder that the current situation in Texas is an international crisis, not US pol. Many of these families are refugees from South America especially Guatamala, Colombia, and Venezuala. They do not necessarily know the procedure to ask for asylum, they've heard rumors that asylum seekers are being detained regardless, or the rumors are true. We are inflicting permanent psychological damage on children by the thousands, and that might not be something the US can fix alone.

Hi if you're making a time-travel series the only western episode I ever want to see involves a bunch of women burning down a town full of backwards dickheads that think they need to "defend their honor" or whatever the fuck other flavor of macho bullshit you use. You guys, does anyone notice their vision sort of... shuts down a lot of time? Like I'll still be seeing but it's like low-detail sleep-mode. Then other times I ***see*** textures, spatial differences, colors, light, etc. vividly like night and day. Is this a normal thing humans experience? O.o I'm pretty sure I'm ok, survived this long, but I am not aware of this ever having been talked about by others, lol.
