In Italian we say "corsia preferenziale" roughly translatable with "preferential lane" meaning one of the lanes in a road/street is reserved for mass transit

How do I express that in #openstreetmap ?

@AbbieNormal This is a little bit tricky. But with this example:

lanes=5
lanes:forward=3
lanes:backward=2
turn:lanes:forward=left|through|through
access:lanes:forward=yes|yes|no
bus:lanes:forward=yes|yes|designated
access:lanes:backward=yes|no
bus:lanes:backward=yes|designated

Hope this helps!

@AbbieNormal Oh, if you use JOSM, there's a plugin called turnlanes-tagging that works for tagging lanes in general without a crapton of typing.
